Are you a trainee motor vehicle mechanic and technician? Join our us in our modern workshops and develop your skills alongside tutors with wealth of professional experience. On offer is a mix of practical experience to develop your hands-one skills with theory lessons to build your wider understanding of engines and cars.
The qualification consists of: the Technical Certificate, NVQ and a Level 1 award in English, maths and IT. This is achieved through practical experience at work, plus one day a week at College to acquire the necessary theory and underpinning knowledge and to complete the English, maths and IT elements. Subject areas include: • Carrying out routine vehicle maintenance • Removing and replacing engine units and components • Removing and replacing electrical auxiliary units and components • Removing and replacing vehicle chassis units and components.
Successful completion leads to the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle, which will further build your professional skills and knowledge.
Suitability - Who should attend?
Employment in a suitable job role. GCSEs in maths and English language. Some employers may also specify additional qualifications. We will provide individual advice and guidance for applicants who do not meet these entry requirements.
