Animation and Games Design - BTEC Level 3 Diploma:

This two-year course for students aged 16-18 is equivalent to 3 A Levels and reflects a growing interest in games design and animation – digital, cgi or traditional stop-motion. It is designed to enable you to progress to university and develop your expertise in preparation for a career in the industry. The course makes use of London's great resources with visits to industry shows, theatres, films and museums.

You will work in our amazing new multimedia suites, gaining experience in 3D modelling, rigging, level design, asset and character development and introductory programming. You will use industry standard software including Maya, Mudbox, Unity, After Effects and Photoshop. We believe that students need to be engaged in every aspect of this subject and foster imaginative skills to feed back to their design work – and we also want the course to be fun! The course is taught by industry professional animation and games design lecturers.

You will study:

  • Materials, techniques and processes in art and design
