The International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL Core) formerly referred to as ECDL- is an internationally recognised IT qualification designed to give learners the skills to use computers confidently and effectively. The aim of the course is to help to improve your understanding and efficient use of computers and it will provide you with all you the skills you need to work in any office or administrative environment at a high level.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Students should have achieved a level 2 recognised IT qualifications or currently working in an IT industry with excellent knowledge of Windows 10.

The aim of the course is to help to improve your understanding and efficient use of computers and it will provide you with all you the skills you need to work in any office or administrative environment at a high level.

- Security for IT users
- Word Processing
- Spreadsheets
- Database Software
- Presentation Software

Assessment Internal assessment and externally assessed exams Grading information - qualification and units are at a Pass grade.
Expenses
This course is free if you have not yet achieved a full level 3 qualification. If you have any questions please speak to someone in our information centre.
Continuing Studies
On successful completion of this course you can progress to other vendor or digital qualification which can further develop your skills for the new digital age. On completion you are also eligible to apply for or discounted BCS membership (and BCS letters after your name) and you will gain 24 UCAS points which can go towards a university application.
