Management MA Advanced Standing - 1-year postgraduate course at Westminster Business School
A unique programme, Westminster Business School's Management MA Advanced Standing is designed to help those who have already achieved a Diploma in Management achieve their Masters degree.
The programme reflects the shift from the operational to the strategic, focusing on the applied perspectives on management. The part-time course is delivered over a period of one year, during which the following three modules are covered:
- Strategic Management
- Business Research Methods
- MAM Project
Graduates can expect to aim for managerial positions in multinational organisations and SMEs, having gained the skills to perform in specialist areas of business, including financial services, operations, human resources, sales and marketing.
Suitability - Who should attend?
This course is aimed at candidates who have already achieved a Diploma in Management a target award and wish to obtain a Masters in Management degree.
Training Course Content
Course modules include:
Business Research Methods
- The research process and the application of research methods in the area of business and management
- Qualitative and quantitative research methods,
- The contexts within which different methods are useful and how they should be applied in practice.
- Research design, data collection and analysis and the presentation of findings.
This module will introduce you to the principles and practices of strategic management.
The Project module involves extensive research in a chosen topic. It will enable you to demonstrate your ability to work autonomously, and to apply the theory learned during the course to a substantial real-life problem.
