Motivated by its Christian faith, YMCA Training's mission is to inspire individuals to develop their talents and potential and so transform the communities in which they live and work.
Operating from over 50 community locations nationwide, they deliver effective training programmes and work-based learning opportunities to people of all abilities, ages and backgrounds.
Their range of courses includes:
- Apprenticeships, Advanced Apprenticeships and National Vocational Qualifications which enable individuals to gain qualifications and develop skills while learning
- Entry to Employment (e2e) Programmes preparing schools leavers for the transition to work, training or further education
- Adult Key Skills and Job Search Training equipping individuals with the skills, knowledge and support they need to gain employment
- Programmes for Schools offering a range of opportunities to school pupils, with a focus on Key Stage 4 students
- Specialist Programmes in response to the needs of the local community, such as support programmes for young parents
- Train to Gain - they provide NVQs funded by the Train to Gain initiative in a range of areas including Retail, Health and Social Care, Early Years and Education and Business and Administration.
YMCA Traning Apprenticeships
Through YMCA Training they deliver apprenticeships nationwide to employers large and small. What makes them unique is their founding principles: mind, body and spirit. It's through these that they help businesses and employees develop together in a mutually beneficial way. To be a great employee apprentices need not just vocational skills, but also to learn teamwork, and to respect themselves and others.
