City & Guilds Plastering Course

Able Skills can offer you the opportunity to obtain a City & Guilds certificate in plastering. This accredited 4 week basic plastering qualification is an excellent start for anyone looking to start training as a Plasterer. Weekend training is also available to complete this course.

The course will provide you with hands-on training during which time you will be assessed by our qualified plastering assessors. The entire City & Guilds process is completed here on site at Able Skills which ensures this course is delivered using the correct procedures and without delay.

You will be trained and assessed across the following areas:

• Introduction to Health and Safety
• Introduction to the construction industry
• Preparing background surfaces and applying render coats
• Preparing background surfaces and applying finishing coats
• Mixing materials and applying floating coats

This is an intensive 4 weeks of hands on training, during which time you will build a portfolio of your work. You will be assessed on a variety of units as detailed above.

If upon completion of this course you would like to learn much more then you can consider upgrading toCity & Guilds Certificate & Training to NVQ Level 2. This would require you to train for an additional 4 weeks; payment would be adjusted to reflect what you have already paid on this course.

This is a hands-on, practical plastering course and you will be involved at every stage and will be participating throughout. It is therefore recommended you bring suitable clothing and for your own safety,steel capped footwear is essential.

All of our courses take place at our dedicated training centre in Dartford, Kent. The centre is easily accessible by road, being just 10 minutes from junction 1a on the M25. We are only a short walk from Dartford train station which is served by frequent trains taking 35 minutes from central London. For anyone travelling from further away, we have our own accommodation available at only £25 per night.

This is a4-week(20 days) course, and the cost is£1495.00including vat. A deposit of £400.00 will secure a booking with the balance payable as follows:

Full time 4 weekly payments of £273.75 following the deposit.

Weekends Training is arranged on a 2 weekend on and 2 weekend off basis. 6 weekends of training over 12 weeks PLUS a 9-day block at the end running Saturday through to the following Sunday. Following the deposit, 3 payments of £365 (once per month) with zero payment on the 9-day block.
