Asbestos Awareness Category A - IATP
Asbestos awareness training is a legal requirement for anyone who is likely to disturb asbestos containing materials, or, anyone who may influence others to come into contact with asbestos materials. This course is designed in accordance with The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and meets the legal requirements placed upon the duty holder.
AMG Safety Asbestos awareness training course is fully accredited by the Independent asbestos training providers (IATP). This means that our course has a specific standard to meet and is fully audited every 12 months by the IATP. Given our experience of over 14 years of providing asbestos consultancy services we have added further helpful information to the course that will suit employees and employers alike.
There are 6 modules with a bank of questions at the end of each module totalling 30 questions, in accordance with the IATP.
- The pass mark is 80% which equates to 24 correct answers out of 30 questions. If failed we will let you have another go for free!

Suitability - Who should attend?
This course covers two sets of people. Anyone who is likely to disturb asbestos containing materials, or, anyone who may influence others to come into contact with asbestos containing materials. Asbestos awareness training is a legal requirement for these two sets of people.
Set 1 are the people that are likely to come into contact with asbestos containing materials and carry out physical works to the fabric of a building including refurbishment, renovation, maintenance, demolition, and any other activity that may involve interaction with existing building materials.
Maintenance staff, construction workers, Engineers, IT installers, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, flooring contractors and more.
Set 2 are the people that are likely to influence others to come into contact with asbestos containing materials. Project managers, estates managers, supervisors, designers, quantity surveyors, clients, building managers and more.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
Upon the successful completion of our course you will receive an instant certificate with the IATP logo that you can download and will also be sent to your email address. This will be valid for 12 months.

3: Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) Types, Uses and Likely Occurrences
