Course description
This is for people who are working in the residential care sector who are experienced within the job and/or industry. To do this course you must be employed within the residential sector. They have responsibility for completing assessment and planning with children and young people. To do this course you must be employed within the sector.
The diploma is in place to assess the learner’s competency relating to the Residential Childcare sector and is an industry requirement.

To become an apprentice, you must:
- be 16 or over
- not already be in full-time education
- live in England
You can start an apprenticeship whether you’re starting your career, want a change or you’re upskilling in your current job. You can have a previous qualification like a degree and still start an apprenticeship.
