Creative Writing - Introduction

This is a creative writing course which provides a supportive environment for new writers of primarily prose fiction, whether you are just starting out or already have some experience. It encourages you to express yourself creatively. The course covers writing in class, and home writing. Each week those writers, who would like to, will share their work with the group, and receive feedback. Looking at other people's work is extremely helpful in understanding how we can make improvements, and along with discussing practical strategies for creating a narrative, we hope to inspire you with the confidence to move on with your writing. By the end of the course, you will have been given the opportunity to: develop your skills as a writer, share your work with other writers in a creative and supportive environment, Consider setting, characterisation, point of view, plotting and dialogue, with a brief introduction to script writing, poetry and life writing, become a better critic of your work and that of others, consider setting, characterisation, point of view, plotting and dialogue, with a brief introduction to script writing, poetry and life writing.
