5 Day Foundation Plastering Course
The principles of plastering will be taught in a hands on fashion. The course is entirely workshop based under the guidance of our City and Guilds qualified plastering instructors who will ensure that you complete your training with the confidence to tackle your required plastering jobs. This course is an ideal taster for anyone considering a career in Plastering or for enthusiastic DIY’ers.

Our 5 Day Plastering Courses are suitable for those with little or no plastering experience.
Training Course Content
During this 5 day plastering course you will learn:
- Health & Safety and selection of the correct PPE
- How to cut and fix angle beads for windows and reveals
- How to cut and fix plaster board to walls and ceilings
- How to scrim tape standard and internal joints
- How to mix plastering materials
- How to prepare surfaces before plastering using PVA plus a range of other sealers
- How to apply finishing plaster, ensuring a smooth finished surface ready for decorating
- How to apply finishing plaster to ceilings
- How to apply finishing plaster to walls
Course delivery details
5 Days, Monday to Friday, 9.00am until 4.30pm. (Doors open 8.30am).
How long is the course?
This 5 day foundation plastering course consists of 5 days practical in-house training, taking place at our training centre near Fareham and will teach you all the foundation skills of plastering.
