Responsibilities and Legal Requirements

This section gives the delegate an understanding of their responsibility to safety in their workplace, the legal requirements and also who is responsible and reportable to for health and safety in their workplace.

Hazards and Risks

This section gives an understanding of what hazards may be present in the workplace, what the risk assessments are and how to identify risks in areas like fire, manual handling, electrical safety, display screen equipment and slips, trips and falls.

Safety Signs and Signboards

Gives the delegate information on different safety signs, what they mean and where they are found. This helps the delegate understand safe working practices and what do if something happens.

Workplace Safety and Emergency Procedures

This section gives the delegate the knowledge of what to do if something goes wrong, for example the first aid kit, accident book, accident and injury reporting and calling emergency services. This all helps to ensure the safety of themselves and others and will help the business to comply with Health and Safety Legislation.
