Course description
Introduction
A chance to pick up the skills and knowledge to carry out a range of construction tasks that you'll need for building renovation. It might include painting and decorating, joinery and plastering. Importantly, you'll be able to earn your CSCS health and safety card to ensure access to sites. You'll visit trade shows and site visits to help you understand what it'll be like to work on a real construction site. If you complete the course successfully, you'll leave the course with a CSCS card meaning you can work on a building site. You'll also work towards a PASMA certificate to give you training in building towers for working at heights. We have a close relationship with Wandsworth Council to keep awareness of the local jobs market and the opportunities available to you. Our top performing students will also have the opportunity to do work experience with a local company.
Assessment
A range of practical assessments.
Next Steps
This could lead to an apprenticeship, or working on site as an improver in construction operations.
