Course description
LCBT's Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy with Make-up for all ages covers the essential knowledge and understanding needed to help you start your career as a therapist. The units that you study will provide you with the basic skills to perform many of the beauty treatments on offer in salons across the UK. Units include make-up, waxing and eyebrow and lash enhancement as well as experiencing the duties and responsibilities of working in a salon.
You will be provided with a uniform to wear whilst you are at college and a beauty kit that you will own to support you completing your practical treatments and to be used personally.
This course provides the essential knowledge and understanding needed to help you start your career as a Therapist. The units that you study will provide you with the skills to perform many of the beauty treatments on offer in salons across the UK.

- Day, Evening & Special Occasion Make-up
- Nail Services (Manicure & Pedicure)
- Facials
- Waxing
- Lash & Brow Treatments
- Salon Reception
- Selling and promoting techniques /client care
- Creating an Image
- Health and safety / knowledge of beauty industries
- Enrichment to develop further skills i.e. beauty shows
Learners will also study client care, health & safety and industry knowledge.
*If you are 16-18 years of age as part of your course you may need to complete Functional Skills or GCSEs in English and/or Maths. If you do not need to complete English or Maths you may complete the additional Beauty Therapy units.
