Course description
The course will enable dental hygienists and dental therapists to prescribe, justify and interpret
radiographs. This course also includes IRMER update.
Objectives
By attending this course you will:
1. receive an update on current guidelines in prescribing radiographs in general dental practice
2. demonstrate (within their scope of practice)how to justify (prescribe) and quality assess the
radiographs taken
3. demonstrate (within their scope of practice) how to interpret and produce radiographic reports and
undertake audits for quality of radiographs.
