Course description
This hands-on course is a refresher for those who want to update their knowledge and practical skills in performing pulpotomy and the use of stainless steel crowns in paediatric patients. This is an important aspect of management of caries in children preventing unnecessary extractions. Maintaining the deciduous teeth will facilitate correct eruption of permanent teeth and prevent crowding.
By attending this course the candidates will
1. Get an update on the current theory behind pulpotomy, pulpectomy and stainless steel crowns.
2. Master the techniques of placing a stainless steel crown on a deciduous molar in a dental manikin.
3. Get feedback on their practical skills and learn to reflect on their practice.
