Course description
Delivered at our Chippenham campus and awarded by Pearson, this course is designed to offer you a wide range of opportunities to learn about the Computing sector. Throughout the course, you will enjoy a variety of teaching techniques that include practical activities as well as opportunities to apply your new skills to real life situations. This course also supports the delivery of apprenticeships and occupational standards at level 5.
Suitability - Who should attend?
A minimum of 48 UCAS Tariff Points from full level 3 qualifications (A levels or BTEC) ideally in a related subject as well as 4 GCSEs at minimum grade C (4) or above to include English and Maths.
Prior experience may also be considered for entry onto this course and please contact the college's HE Admissions team for more information.
Post Baccalaureate equivalent for other EU applicants and non EU students require equivalent qualifications.
Applications from mature candidates without the required entry criteria are welcomed and considered on an individual basis.
Where English is not your first language, an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent qualification will normally be required.

Course delivery details
A Higher National qualification is equivalent to either a level 4 or level 5 university qualification, for example a foundation degree.
This level 5 course will be delivered using a blended approach of both class-based sessions and remote learning.
This course is full-time for two years. It will be necessary for you to undertake a significant amount of independent directed study to meet the demands of the programme.
You will be provided with additional information and guidance at interview, enrolment and during induction.
On successful completion of this course, you will achieve a Higher National Diploma (HND) Digital Technologies, awarded by Pearson.
