NEBOSH awards deliver health and safety awareness through principles and best-practice and are usually taken as an introduction to other NEBOSH qualifications. NEBOSH certificates are foundation-level qualifications for supervisors and managers as well as those new to health and safety. NEBOSH diploma qualifications certify a professional level of knowledge for health, safety and environmental practitioners and open up the pathway for professionals to earn a NEBOSH/University of Hull Masters degree in Health, Safety and Environmental Management.

NEBOSH qualifications span Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Risk Management, Management of Health and Well-being at Work, Environmental Management.and Oil & Gas Operational Safety.

How long does it take to earn a NEBOSH qualification? This varies between which qualification candidates are studying, and with which provider. In general, earning a NEBOSH Award takes 35 hours of study while a certificate can take from two weeks when the training for the qualification is completed all at once, and approximately three months when undertaken as day-release. NEBOSH diplomas can take between nine and thirty six months to complete depending on the timetable.
