Computer Law Training
Computer Law Training is a leading provider of training and consultancy services for data protection. We focus on supporting organisations needing support with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA), the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), and related legislation.
We offer a wide range of courses, varying in length from one hour to one week with flexible delivery options, including public courses, in-house training, and e-learning (both pre-recorded and live). Some of these courses are externally certified. In particular Data Protection (GDPR) Foundation Certificate and Data Protection (GDPR) Practitioner Certificate are endorsed by TQUK, which is regulated by Ofqual.
We provide the data protection training which is offered by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations and the five-day course which the Law Society of Scotland uses to award data protection certification.
Our clients come from all sectors, including the third sector, housing associations, legal, and financial (major banks and asset management companies, accountants, and insurance). Until August 2022 we were a small company based in Livingston, in Central Scotland. Since then we have moved to the wonderful island of St Lucia and are delivering all of our courses from there. We provide high-quality specialist training delivered by our own experienced practitioner trainers across the UK and internationally.
All of our courses are delivered by Tim Musson. Tim is an ex-university lecturer with many years of experience. He has been working in data protection since 2010. He has an LLM in IT and Telecoms Law, is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E), and a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT).
