The CMI Level 2 Award, Certificate or Diploma in Team Leading is designed for new or aspiring team leaders looking to gain a thorough introduction to the the theoretical concepts and practical aspects of team leading.
There are three CMI (Chartered Management Institute) qualifications at Level 2: the Award, Certificate and Diploma in Team Leading. This distance learning course allows students to choose the route that is most suited to their needs and the level of leadership development they want to reach. The available units cover a range of topics including:
- communication
- customer service
- improving team performance
- effective working relationships
- organisation
Completing a Level 2 qualification is an ideal way of gaining the leadership skills that are most appropriate to your workplace and/or to gain a basis from which to progress on to higher level CMI qualifications.

Assessment & Qualification
Assessment is normally via practical work-based assignments.
Successful candidates will be awarded the CMI Level 2 Award, Certificate or Diploma in Team Leading, depending on how many credits they achieve.
Training Course Content
Students must complete any combination of units to make up at least 5 credits to gain the Award, or 15 credits for the Certificate.
To gain the Diploma, you must complete all of the units in Group A along with one optional unit from Group B.

- Providing Customer Service (5 credits)
Group B
- Team Performance (5 credits)
