LightForge Academy
The LightForge Academy is a new, dedicated learning environment for creative industries graduates. It is industry focused and led and its ambition is to work closely with its graduates and help them to find jobs in their chosen sector.
The Academy is based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire – just 1 hour 45 minutes from London Kings Cross and we have a satellite classroom in Margaret Street, London
Our courses focus on Games, Film, TV and Mixed Reality and share the key technical and business skills required to develop students in successful artists. We do this by marrying specific learning programs dedicated to key software and hardware with focused training for important soft skills. This includes pointers on how to fit into an existing team, how to confidently present to clients and how to take constructive feedback.
Our courses start on January 2020 and include: QA Testing, Unity, 3D Maya, 2D Nuke, Python Coding and a mixed reality
We are industry led, with tutors who share their time working at the Academy and in production. This means we can respond quickly to the needs of our target industries by developing detailed courses that respond directly to specific skills requirements.
