Course description
Playwork Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2): This qualification is an introduction to the primary aspects of working with children & young people age 4 to 16, in a play environment. You will cover the knowledge and skills needed when working under supervision. You need to enjoy working with children and to have a responsible attitude and commitment to this type of work.Please note, unless you already have grade 9-4 (A-C) in maths and English, you will need to study up to Level 2 in these subjects and also ICT. Therefore, you will need to be able to successfully pass an initial assessment prior to starting the course.

Suitability - Who should attend?
� You should be at least 16 years old.� A job as an apprentice in a playwork setting for a minimum of 30 hours per week. If you work fewer hours, the length of time on your apprenticeship will be longer.� You must pass an initial assessment in English & maths.� You will have an interview.� A clear Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at the start of the course.
