The contribution that the standards play within the organisation are also very much appreciated. “The ISO certification has provided a methodology for continual improvement, which has been communicated from senior leadership and cascaded down to every level of staff within the company,” says Abu. “The audit programme, which is now based on a risk profile, enables the company to prioritise high risk areas and think about monitoring and measuring all our potential risk factors.”

Alcumus ISOQAR and other providers were put through a rigorous tendering process before a certification body was chosen. Abu explains why Alcumus ISOQAR came out on top: “We felt ISOQAR’s superior technical experience, resources, capability and reasonable costs were far more attractive compared to other certification bodies.”
