Introduction to Sewing
This is a great introduction to machine sewing and making clothes for beginners.

Suitability - Who should attend?
You will need a basic sewing kit consisting of fabric scissors, small scissors, pins, thread, needles, tape measure and un-picker.
You will be provided with 1.5 meters of Calico. This is a plain-woven textile made from unbleached and often not fully processed cotton. The cost is included in your fee.
You will need to purchase 2m of your own woven fabric and a pattern for this course.

What you’ll learn
You will learn key sewing techniques, simple garment construction skills and how to work with easy fabrics.
Course delivery details
This is a very practical course. By the end, you will have completed a simple garment, a paper pattern and embedded it onto a fabric of your choice. This should give you the confidence to start basic machine sewing independently.
