On our level 6 CPCAB course, you'll learn everything needed to be a safe and effective counselling supervisor, including how to perform a thorough assessment of those you supervise. You be able to help improve the quality of counselling being provided and expect an increase in job responsibility.

Suitability - Who should attend?
The great thing about undertaking a CPCAB course is that it’s recognised nationally by the BACP and focused on helping you become the best counsellor you can be!
To apply for this course, students must have at least achieved their Level 4 CPCAB Diploma or equivalent. We also strongly advise that you complete level 5 beforehand too, but this is not mandatory.
To pass the course, you have to prove competence in a variety of key counselling skills. This is primarily assessed through coursework alongside tutor observation as you progress through the course – the tutor will gain evidence through observing you as you undertake supervision counselling sessions. In addition, you will need to provide records of peer feedback, evidence of personal therapy and reports from supervisors.
You will also need to complete 15 hours of supervision practice either in independent practice or in the role of supervisor in an agency setting, as well as undertaking a minimum of 5 hours of supervisory supervision during the course.
At the end of the course, you will need to complete a case review, which will then be assessed by CPCAB.
Once you have passed the assessment you will obtain your certificate from CPCAB.
