Course description

barking-and-dagenham-college-campus-image

This course will give you the essential qualification that you need to work in social care. If you are already employed in this sector, legislation requires you to be qualified to at least this level. It is divided into classroom sessions covering four compulsory units, and two optional units. These units are flexible and are tailored to your job role. To achieve each unit you will need to show competence in both theory and practical. As the NVQ is a vocational qualification, your performance in the workplace is very important and you should ensure that you are experienced enough to carry out required tasks unsupervised.
