Course description
The Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce is aimed at people already working in the Children and Young People's Sector. For example, you may be working as a childminder, day care supervisor, SureStart worker, community nursery nurse or as a learning mentor. You may or may not have some supervisory responsibilities. You want to be in sole charge of children, for exampl, managing a room in a nursery.
Assessment
You must gain a minimum of 65 credits to achieve the Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma. To do this, you must achieve 27 credits from:
- All four units of the Skills for Care and Development shared core
- All seven Children and Young People mandatory core units
You must then select one mandatory occupational pathway from:
- Early Learning and Childcare (22 credits)
- Social Care (13 credits)
- Learning, Development and Support Services (13 credits)
The remaining credits must be achieved frorm a choice of optiional units

Tuition Fee: 2882- This qualification can be funded via the Government 19+ Advanced Learner Loan.
