Course description
The NVQ Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy is a course designed for people who are interested in developing the skills and knowledge required to become a Beauty Therapist. You will need to be either working in a salon or be willing to look for an appropriate place of work.
Course content
Modules studied will include:
Following: health and safety
Promoting products and services
Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work
Provide facial skincare
Waxing techniques
Manicure and pedicure treatments
Eye treatments
Salon reception
Optional units will be discussed at enrolment
Applicants who do not have Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English or GCSEs at grade C/4 in these subjects will be required to undertake the following in addition to the main course studies.

You will be assessed throughout the course in a variety of ways - some of these include:
Written assignments
Online tests
Practical assessments in the workplace
Customer care
Suitability
An Apprenticeship is designed for students who are already in a workplace or want to work and gain a qualification at the same time.
Progression
On successful completion of this course you can progress onto the NVQ Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy.
