Gain a detailed insight into the regulatory landscape in Guernsey, reviewing the key laws, rules and regulations with which funds must comply, as well as guidance issued by the local regulator.
You will learn about:
- the role and remit of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC), including the following laws impacting the whole finance sector:
o the Criminal Justice (Proceeds of Crime) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law
o the Cyber Security Rules and Guidance 2021
- the Protection of Investors (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2020
- authorised funds and the rules applicable to them, including:
o the Authorised Collective Investment Schemes (Class A) Rules 2008
o the Authorised Collective Investment Schemes (Class B) Rules and Guidance 2021
o the Collective Investment Schemes (Qualifying Professional Investors Funds) (Class Q) Rules and Guidance 2021
o the Authorised Closed-Ended Investment Schemes Rules and Guidance 2021 - registered funds and the rules applicable to them, including:
