BA (Hons) Fashion Communication & Industry Practice
This intensive two-year degree offers a unique opportunity to learn about the fashion industry from within the Condé Nast family.
Looking at Fashion Communication as a whole, the course covers Fashion Media, Fashion Branding, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Retailing, as well as Contextual Studies in Fashion and Fashion Styling, Publishing, Fashion Journalism and Image Making.
You will be able to explore all elements of Fashion Communication with the option to specialise in fields such as Retailing, Journalism, Styling and Publishing. Throughout your degree, you’ll hear from industry speakers on a weekly basis and will work both individually and in teams on styling and magazine projects.

Suitability - Who should attend?
The standard entry requirements for this course are:
- Three A-levels graded BBB, or an equivalent EU / international qualification
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C (4) or above
- Aged 18 years or older on the first day of the course
The College also accepts equivalent qualifications, such as BTEC and Baccalaureate awards; the preferred International Baccalaureate (IB) score is between 28-32.
Condé Nast College students who have completed aVogue Fashion CertificateorFoundation Programmecan also apply for this course.
Completion of a Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art & Design or Art, Design & Media) also fulfils the entry requirements.
Training Course Content
Our two-year degree in Fashion Communication is highly intensive and will require you to attend college four days a week. The course is split into eight terms over two years.
The programme’s key aims are to:
- Introduce you to a broad range of areas within the fashion industry and facilitate your understanding of the key issues surrounding its advancement in the 21st century.
- Develop your communication skills across a variety of media, with an emphasis on creative outputs and visual messages.
- Provide opportunities for you to develop key transferable skills such as research and analysis, the ability to think for yourself and to think creatively, and collaboration, organisation and enterprise.
- Enable you to determine your own personal and professional strengths through critical reflection, with a view to identifying and pursuing a suitable career path within the fashion industry. We run on four 10-week terms, with 12 weeks holiday in total over the academic year.

Expenses
In order to confirm and secure your place on the course, you will be asked to pay a deposit of £1,200 when you receive your offer. The deposit option is not available if booking within six weeks of the course start date.
UK/EU students can pay the tuition fee in instalments over the two years of the course.
International students will be asked to pay their first year course fee in full and in advance of arriving at the College.
Continuing Studies
With our unique access to the fashion industry, the College prepares students for employment through live industry projects and work placements, and provides expert career advice to students and graduates.
The technological developments of recent years have driven new opportunities in the Fashion Communication sector, and there is no longer such a distinct separation between fashion media and fashion retail. Professionals now move seamlessly between editorial roles and positions with major fashion brands and retailers, and this shift has greatly widened the scope of available careers.
