Course description
The Care - Level 2 Diploma (RQF) Course is suitable for students who are working, or are wanting to work as a care provider within the care sector.
Students will learn about the role of a health and social care worker, what is involved with safeguarding and protecting those in care, the causes and spread of infection, and the duty of care in health and social care environments. A work placement is required to complete this course. The placement needs to enable students to gather the workplace evidence required to demonstrate the range of competencies detailed in the course notes.

- Unit 8 - Duty of Care
- Unit 9 - Safeguarding and Protection in Care Settings
- Unit 10 - Support Individuals with Specific Communication Needs
- Unit 11 - Support Individuals to Eat and Drink
- Unit 12 - The Principles of Infection Prevention and Control
- Unit 13 - Causes and Spread of Infection
- Unit 14 - Cleaning, Decontamination and Waste Management
- Unit 15 - Move and Position Individuals in Accordance with their Care Plan
- Unit 16 - Support Individuals to Meet Personal Care Needs
- Unit 17 - Contribute to the Support of Positive Risk-Taking for Individuals
On successful completion on this course students will receive an accredited Level 2 RQF Diploma Qualification with 46 Credits.
