Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SSSTS)
Course Aims
This course will improve and refresh knowledge of recent developments in construction, legislation and health, safety, welfare and enviromental issues. It will also help Identify measures which will assist you in the practical implementation of responsibilities established by new legislation and working practices.
Who Should Attend This course is for Participants who have previously attended and successfully passed the two day Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).Certification
Participants successfully completing the course will receive a CITB approved certificate in Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme. This is Valid for 5 years.
Only those Participants who hold an existing Site Supervisor certificate and can provide evidence before attending the course are eligible to attend the refresher course. If no evidence of previous sssts certification can be found, you will have to attend the full Site Safety Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course. Your certificate must be within 6 months of expiry and not expired. If expired, you must attend the full SSSTS course.
Assessment The examination paper consists of 25 multiple-choice questions. The examination lasts for 30 minutes and must be completed within this time. The pass mark is 72%. Participants are permitted to use the Site Safety Simplified (GE 706) publication for the last ten minutes of the examination period. Course Progression Existing site managers, agents, surveyors and persons holding positions of managerial control should attend the five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course.
