A high risk confined space exists when there is a specified hazard that cannot be eliminated or controlled and work activity uses breathing apparatus.

Course Aims

Who Should Attend Those who work in High Risk confined spaces: The work environment will be entered using self-contained breathing apparatus and will involve non-standard entries involving complex operations, introducing additional risk and requiring specific controls and arrangements. The course is competence based and requires Participants to show a sound understanding of safe working practices, emergency arrangements, use of a variety of entry and safety equipment and use of respiratory protective equipment.

Certification

Participants successfully completing the course will be awarded a City & Guilds Level 2 Qualification.
