Experienced Worker Practical Assessment (Fast Track - 1 day NVQ) Carpentry - Based near Reading - West Berkshire
Complete your NVQ level 2 in Carpentry in just 1 day! That's right just 1 day!!!
We use an NOCN approved programme to assess experienced workers who need their NVQ fast.
You will complete 3 elements:
Witness statements from your employer/ supervisor/ previous client
Practical assessment - A door frame using different joints and hanging a door
Professional discussion assessment to talk about your previous work experience

This NVQ route is designed for experienced workers who have been in the trade for 5 years or more.

NVQ Level 2 in Site Carpentry
Training Course Content
You will need to complete some paperwork prior to attending the assessment day.
You will be given an enrolment pack. You will need to ensure you complete the pack. You will also need to get your supervisor/ previous employer/ previous colleague to complete an element of the pack.
On the day you will build a stud wall using planed timber. There will be a series of joints to complete within the job. You are also required to hang a door, fit skirting and some cladding.
You must be able to read a drawing
After the practical assessment you are given a theory assessment which is in the form of a professional discussion. This takes up to an hour an a half.
Once all of the above is complete we can then certificate you with your NVQ level 2 in Carpentry.

When can I do the course/ what dates are available?
We run assessments for every trade each week and have lots of space for you to be booked in within 7 days of payment.
Simply pay upfront/ pay in 3 using the online cart and we will be in touch within 24 hours to book your assessment in.
Will I need to bring my own tools
Yes, we recommend you bring your own tools as you are familiar with them. However, if you leave something at home then we have spares at the centre. All materials will be supplied.
