Course description
The Tenant Fees Ban 2019 has rendered all landlords and agents unable to charge any upfront fees to tenants, including referencing fees, admin fees and many default fees to name but a few. However, landlords still have the option to take a security deposit and recover any damages or loss incurred as a result of the tenant's actions. The legislation around deposits remains complex so the course explains step by step what landlords need to do to comply. It also explains the importance of having a property inventory, even for unfurnished properties and how to do this.
