Course description

In April 2019 both the English and Welsh Governments announced plans to abolish Section 21. This is the single largest shake up in PRS housing in a generation. A consultation is underway but it is anticipated that this will be more of a consultation on how Section 21 is abolished as opposed to if. This course offers landlords and agents the opportunity to get ahead of the game in understanding the alternative notice available for ending Assured Shorthold Tenancies, the Section 8 notice. Whilst currently not favoured by landlords, we hope that the consultation process will strengthen Section 8 notices and the court process for obtaining possession. This course will be kept regularly up to date with changes as and when they happen, giving landlords the confidence that if a tenancy reaches crisis point, it can be brought to an end.
