What is the Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)?
The ideal first step for site supervisors in the construction industry, our Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) provides the knowledge needed for construction supervisory roles. It imparts the relevant health, safety, environmental and legal knowledge required to fulfil the responsibilities of a supervisor effectively, providing delegates with all the necessary skills they need to ensure proper safety practices.
The SSSTS is a CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) accredited course and is also endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group as the standard for all supervisors who work on UKCG sites.

Course delivery details
The SSSTS course will discuss what is expected of you and how your duties will contribute to the safety of the workplace. By the end of the course, you will be able to:
Understand the health and safety problems within the industry.
Understand how health and safety law is structured and how it applies to site supervisors.
Identify how a supervisory role fits in with the management structure in controlling site safety.
Carry out risk assessments and understand the need for method statements.
Carry out effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings.
Monitor site activities effectively.
Understand the importance of timely intervention and identify bad practices.
