Edexcel Level 3 90-Credit Diploma in Computing

The 90-Credit Diploma in Computing is equivalent to one and a half A Levels and allows progression to the National Extended Diploma in Computing. It is a practical, one-year work-related course that focuses on the development of a range of specialist computing skills. The Level 3 qualification is ideal for those wishing to pursue a career in Computing. The course explores a number of different areas such as principles of computer science, fundamentals of computer systems, security, encryption, and social media. The one-year course will develop further understanding of the world of computing, equipping students with both the knowledge and practical skills needed to gain employment in the industry. There are six units on the course, four of which are internally assessed and two which are externally assessed through examination. All units must be successfully achieved to gain the qualification. Once you successfully complete this course you may wish to top up to the full Extended Diploma. Following this, you can then study an HNC/HND in Digital Technology or apply for university.
