This NVQ Level 2 in Plastering is a work based qualification that will focus on your practical skills and knowledge.
We will conduct an initial profiling interview with you to assess your previous experience, put together a time frame, identify any training needs, and make an assessment plan for the qualification.

Your Suitability
This qualification is suitable for you, if you already hold an underpinning plastering Qualification such as The City & Guilds 6219-05, or have less than 5 years occupational experience.You must also live within a 60 mile radius of Silver Trowel.
Course requirements
You will be required to gather and record a portfolio of evidence. Having a work based recorder that you work with would be an advantage to confirm work you have undertaken when the assessor is not with you.
Assessments will be conducted in the workplace by our qualified assessors and internal verifiers as per the agreed timetable. A minimum of 2 site visits where the evidence you have gathered is assessed, and then sufficient units will be signed off. If there are shortfalls, the assessor will identify if you require any further training needs and set an action plan for achievement of those.
Training Course Content
To achieve this qualification you will need to complete the following Mandatory Units
- QCF641 Conforming to general health,safety,and welfare in the workplace.
- QCF642 Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace.
- QCF643 Moving,handling and storing resources in the workplace.
- QCF66 Producing internal solid plastering finishes in the workplace.
- QCF67 Producing external solid render finishes in the workplace.
- Plus 2 Optional units from the following:-
- QCF65 Applying finishing plaster to background surfaces in the workplace.
- QCF68 Installing direct bond dry linings in the workplace.
- QCF69 Laying sand and cement screeds and/or falls in the workplace.
- QCF70 Applying projection plaster and maintaining equipment in the workplace.
- QCF71 Installing mechanically fixed plasterboard in the workplace.
