Course description
This course will focus on key silversmithing techniques as well as providing creative tools for developing and realising your ideas in a three-dimensional metal piece. You'll be encouraged to develop your own creative and experimental approach to making. Discussions with individual students will be supported by demonstrations. The workshop is tailored for an intimate group of up to six students and you will benefit from one-to-one support as well as group discussions.
Course Leader Adi Toch will be supporting students through designing and making a vessel form, employing silversmithing techniques such as sinking, raising and planishing.
By the end of the course, you will have:
- expanded your technical and design vocabulary
- gained confidence in silversmithing techniques through the development of your ideas into a unique object

Suitability - Who should attend?
This two day intensive course is designed to give individuals with some previous experience in silversmithing an opportunity to develop a personal project or to continue a project from term time course From Metal Sheet to Hollow Form.
