Pain Management NURS-1146

This module is for registered healthcare professionals working in an acute or primary care clinical setting that provides exposure to patients with acute and/or chronic pain.

Applicants for the Level 7 module must have completed a first degree. Evidence of all studies must accompany your application.

The module will give you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of pain as a multidimensional concept and the ethical issues surrounding pain and its treatment.

You will reflect on your practice and utilise contemporary evidence-based information to inform and rationalise clinical judgements in relation to the multimodal approaches of pain management.

The module is delivered by e-learning, and you will need to have access to the Internet. The module includes an optional introductory session for the virtual learning environment, Moodle, held at the university.
