Course description

University of Oxford
Data Converters (A/Ds and D/As) are, at the same time, among the most pervasive, complex and diverse analog systems. After giving some application context, this course will provide an introduction to the basic concepts, architectures, trade-offs and trends in modern analog-to-digital (A/D) and digital-to-analog (D/A) converters. The course will cover basic concepts of quantization, sampling, the metrics to characterize data converters performance and the main data converter architectures. Circuit examples will illustrate the technical challenges, trade-offs and design techniques.

All delegates will receive a copy of the latest edition of Advanced Data Converters by G. Manganaro (Cambridge University Press)

This course is part of Oxford University's High-Speed Digital Engineering Month.
