Course description
This course will provide delegates with an update on the theoretical knowledge and clinical skills of local anaesthesia.
Successful local anaesthesia is essential for pain free dentistry and patient comfort. It is a technique sensitive skill that is developed with continual practice. Clinicians that deliver less or no LA since training within their current roles will benefit from this refresher course to update skills and theoretical knowledge.
By attending this course the candidates will:
1. be updated on relevant anatomy, physiology and pharmacology in relation to local anaesthetics
2. learn about the theoretical and clinical skills involved in delivering infiltration anaesthesia.
3. learn about the theoretical and clinical skills involved in delivering regional block anaesthesia.
