Course description

This course provides an intensive introduction to historic timber-framed structures. It begins by examining the original methods of framing and construction, then concentrates on problems, failures and methods of repair. The course takes place at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, but lunch and evening lectures are at West Dean College.
