Introducing C++ Programming:


This course is ideal for people with little or no prior knowledge of programming who want to learn the fundamentals of programming through the C++ language.

On completion you will be able to sit the CPA – C++ Certified Associate Programmer certification exam.

This 15-week course is accessed online with no special equipment or system requirements.

What will I study?

You’ll learn the basics of programming in the C++ language as well as the concepts and techniques used in object-oriented programming.

This course is broken down into 9 modules:

Module 0: explaining the process of installing and using the programming environment
Module 1: introducing common computer programming concepts, e.g. integers and variables
Module 2: discussing advanced flow control and data aggregates
Module 3: introducing the subject of pointers, functions and memory
Module 4: examining ways to access various kinds of data
Module 5: giving an introduction to the fundamentals of object-oriented programming
Module 6: discussing the subject of inheritance
Module 7: considering the subject of exceptions
Module 8: discussuing the subject of operators and enumerated types
You’ll have access to hands-on practice materials, quizzes and assessments to learn how to utilize the skills and knowledge gained on the course and interact with some real-life programming tasks and situations.

What can I do next?

This course will prepare you for the C++ Certified Associate Programmer Certification (CPA) from the C++ Institute.

Gaining this qualification will allow you to stand out above the competition in the workplace by proudly displaying the skills you’ve acquired on your CV.

This course opens up a host of career opportunities.

Suitability - Who should attend?

GCSEs in Maths and English C/4 or above, or Functional Skills in Maths and English at L2 or equivalent.
