If we didn't have any suitable courses at the time this question was posted, this is certainly no longer the case!
You can find a number of Carpentry and Joinery courses in our Building and Construction category. Some of them are short courses for DIY enthusiasts, but most of them are recognised vocational qualifications accredited in the UK's national QCF system.
Many are available in the London area.
Even if cabinet making is your specific area of interest, these courses will cover everything you need to "get your foot in the door" so to speak. Then it's all about putting what you learn into practice and refining your skills.
Finally, depending on your age & level of experience, apprenticeships are becoming an increasingly popular way of entering the job market. This is the case across all industries, but especially so in those which, like carpentry, require a great deal of hands-on experience and skill.
