City & Guilds Bricklaying Course

Able Skills can offer you the opportunity to obtain a City & Guilds certificate in bricklaying. This accredited 3 week basic bricklaying qualification is an excellent start for anyone looking to start training as a Bricklaying. Weekend training is also available to complete this course.

The course will provide you with hands-on training during which time you will be assessed by our qualified bricklaying assessors. The entire City & Guilds process is completed here on site at Able Skills which ensures this course is delivered using the correct procedures and without delay.

You will be trained and assessed across the following areas:

• Health and Safety in construction
• Constructing half brick corner
• Constructing cavity walls in brick and block
• Constructing 1 brick walling (English bond)

This is an intensive 3 weeks of hands on training, during which time you will build a portfolio of your work. You will be assessed on a variety of units as detailed above.

At Able Skills we pride ourselves in the diversity of the qualifications that are available within our bricklaying training centre. If upon completion of this course you would like to learn much more then you can consider upgrading toCity & Guilds Certificate & Training to NVQ Level 2. This would require you to train for an additional 5 weeks; payment would be adjusted to reflect what you have already paid on this course.

This is a hands-on, practical bricklaying course and you will be involved at every stage and will be participating throughout. It is therefore recommended you bring suitable clothing and for your own safety,steel capped footwear is essential.

All of our courses take place at our dedicated training centre in Dartford, Kent. The centre is easily accessible by road, being just 10 minutes from junction 1a on the M25. We are only a short walk from Dartford train station which is served by frequent trains taking 35 minutes from central London. For anyone travelling from further away, we have our own accommodation available at only £25 per night.

This is a 3 Week (15 days) course, and the cost is£1495.00including vat. A deposit of £300.00 will secure a booking with the balance payable as follows:

Full time 3 weekly payments of £398.33 following the deposit.

Weekends Training is arranged on a 2 weekend on and 2 weekend off basis. 8 weekends of training over 16 weeks. Following the deposit, 4 payments of £298.75 (once per month).
