Course description
Deep Tissue Massage Diploma enables qualified massage therapists (especially, but not only, those who are newly qualified) to further their skills and become more confident in their routines. In addition, they will be able to offer another popular form of treatment. Participants will learn new techniques to apply to common conditions presented by clients, such as adhesion and muscle tightness. They will also learn about trigger points. In the first instance, participants will learn to observe clients' posture and acquire palpating skills which enable them to identify changes in texture or tension in the muscle tissue and to identify tissue damage. They will acquire: a good understanding of how to observe posture, a good understanding of palpation, the ability to apply tools such as the arm, fist and palm appropriately, an awareness of their own posture at all times during treatments, and a full deep tissue massage routine.
