Homework: The nature of the BTEC course means that there is little formal setting of weekly homework. Instead, there is a longer timeframe in which to complete a collection of work. Students are expected to manage their own short-term timeframes and complete all work to a deadline.

The course is assessed by Edexcel and will lead to a Pass/Merit/Distinction award in a Diploma (equivalent of two A levels). These awards are obtained in the Summer following the end of the course.

All units are coursework and are assessed via portfolio. They consist of 3, 4 or 5 learning objectives and each is marked Pass/Merit/Distinction.

The lowest grade for a specific learning objective determines the overall grade for the unit.
