Course description
This course is perfect for those who want to gain and develop the vital skills to work and flourish within the plumbing industry, alongside industry experts in a college environment. You will learn the fundamentals of the plumbing industry as you build on your practical skills, as well as deepening your knowledge of plumbing with lots of hands-on practical work. As you advance, you will cover the complex fundamentals of the plumbing industry, developing the expertise and knowledge required to enter the profession.
Your studies will include a combination of both practical and theory work via workshop activities and practical assessments in our industry standard workshops and classrooms. Facilities include the amazing Technology Campus in Blackbird Leys (Oxford), opened in 2016 following an £8m investment to create dedicated facilities for engineering, construction and building services.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Four GCSEs at grades 3 (D) or above in English language, maths and science or achievement on a Level 1 course.
Completion of a Level 1 Plumbing course is also acceptable supported with GCSE English and Maths alongside a reference from a college tutor.
You must demonstrate self-motivation and a keen interest in the subject area.

The course requires you to demonstrate skills and knowledge via modular units which require underpinning expertise and understanding which will be delivered through workshop activities and practical assessment.
