Understanding Autism Level 3
Are you a parent of a child with autism and wish to learn more about the condition so you can provide them with the best possible care? Or are you a Teaching Assistant considering expanding your specialism so you can lend your support to students with special needs?
No matter the reason for your interest, our Understanding Autism Level 3 course can provide you with an insightful view into how autism is identified and diagnosed so you are better equipped to promote good health, social inclusion and communication.
In just one year – and 100 hours of study – you can explore the key features of autism (in terms of &'the triad of impairments'), and will be able to: understand and identify disorders (which commonly accompany autism); will appreciate that autism is a spectrum disorder that affects every individual differently, and will be equipped to support the day to day functions of those in your care.
In other words, you'll be in a position to help them overcome the numerous difficulties that impact on their ability to engage, and instead will provide them with a space in which they are able to flourish.
